Description
In the mid-1990s, aiming to increase production and reduce costs, Finnish companies began relocating their manufacturing to neighboring Baltic states. For example, «Rapala» balance jigs have been produced in Estonia since 1998, and the lesser-known family business «MATTI RIALINNA», which operated solely for the Finnish domestic market for a long time, has recently started producing part of its model range in Latvia. Lucky John «WING» has been produced in Latvia since 2011 for the Finnish market and is one of the popular spoon forms with «wings» by Finnish master Tuomo Suomela, refined by Latvian ice fishing masters with modifications for freer gliding during descent. The «Viima» (wind) model, the predecessor of «WING», is one of the legendary Finnish spoons, which is why it was chosen by us to update the «Lucky John» assortment. In 2008, 2009, and 2012, this model was recognized by Finnish experts as the model of the year.
