Jig Heads
Choose jig head weight to suit the depth, current and size of your soft bait. In calm water, start with a lighter head to give the lure more time to fall. Increase the weight gradually if current carries the rig away or bottom contact becomes difficult to detect. There is no universal grams-per-metre rule: line diameter and the lure’s resistance also matter.
Match hook size to the bait’s body, rather than its total length alone. Hold the hook beside the lure before rigging: the shank should support the body without extending into the working part of the tail. Choose micro jig heads for small twisters and slugs, and a suitably sized regular head for larger paddle-tails. Each series page lets you compare weights and hook sizes and select the variant you need.
